Executive Coaching – Unlock your full potential with Christoph Schlick
As an executive, business owner or managing director, you know how important personal and professional development is. You want to be successful and increase your added value.
But you may also be facing challenges that are affecting your performance. Perhaps you lack a clear view of solutions or you want to further improve your leadership skills.
This is precisely where my professional leadership coaching comes in. I offer you tailor-made solutions to achieve your goals and advance your professional development.
Who is Christoph Schlick?
First and foremost, I am a human being, but I am also a Benedictine monk, husband, father, speaker, coach – every stage of life has allowed me to develop and mature – and still does. My experiences, my constant journey to new horizons, my optimism and my interest in people and their development and growth flow into my work as a coach. For 20 years, I have been listening, asking questions and supporting people and teams in recognising their potential, feeling it and drawing from it for their own and for the benefit of all.
In both the private and professional context, self-awareness is an important building block for happiness, satisfaction and success. Those who are secure in themselves and dare to enter into relationships with themselves, their environment and other people develop leadership qualities ‘almost by themselves’. Those who know their potential shape their lives and fill them with meaning.
I am at your side if you want to be a better boss, manager or entrepreneur, if you truly want to take the helm from now on – with professional coaching for executives.
Executive Coaching – What's in it for me?
Who needs coaching? Probably you – there is a reason why you have ended up on this page, why you are searching. As a manager, leadership is literally one of your main tasks, but not everyone is born with this fundamental success factor. Our own history, often full of setbacks, self-doubt and debilitating beliefs, can reliably prevent us from using what we have inside:
empathy, communication skills, clarity, passion, self-confidence and an eye for the essentials, which makes strategic thinking and thus the art of leadership possible in the first place.
You can tell whether you are a true leader by your successes: How effectively and productively does your team work together? What is the mood like in the office or on the factory floor? What do the balance sheets and reports say about your productivity? How successful do you feel when you go home at night?
Everyone benefits from business coaching, but leaders in particular when it comes to shaping their professional lives:
- Leadership skills:: Coaching helps you to improve your abilities in team leadership, development and motivation. This enables you to act more effectively and successfully in your role.
- Self-reflection:: Coaching enables not only managers to critically question themselves, recognise their own strengths and weaknesses, advance their personal development and fully exploit their own potential.
- Conflict management:: Through coaching, managers can learn to recognise conflicts in the workplace and develop effective strategies for resolving them. This leads to improved team dynamics and a more harmonious working environment.
- Decision-making:: Coaching helps you to develop your decision-making skills and to make clear and well-founded decisions. This improves efficiency and effectiveness in your role as an entrepreneur, boss or manager.
- Work-life balance:: Coaching can help you to align your personal and professional goals. This leads to a better work-life balance and contributes to your overall well-being.
True leadership is not about being the best at everything and knowing everything. True leadership is about assigning each person on the team the task they do best. True leadership is about trusting your employees, yourself and the process, and letting go to a certain extent – while still maintaining an overview and taking responsibility for the team.
Christoph Schlick's coaching philosophy and methods
Whether you are seeking meaning, discovering yourself or shaping your life, my coaching sessions will help you to find your own path to greater zest for life, a sense of purpose and the development of your potential. For many decades, my work has been shaped by my love of people, and I bring this passion to my work. I listen, ask questions, provide impulses and give you the time you need to develop your leadership qualities. I approach this in a methodical and empathetic way – always very close to the being and the will of my clients.
My roots lie in logotherapy and existential analysis according to Viktor Frankl. Like him, I value people and take each of my clients seriously in their uniqueness. A meaningful life and meaningful work are tools for a valuable present and a future worth living.
One-on-one or in a group – individual and group coaching
There are plenty of coaching offers out there. Different approaches and forms are good for you. You choose what suits you. Coaching is a personal and intimate matter – so, as the saying goes, the chemistry between coach and coachee must be right. In terms of form, you can choose between individual and group coaching; online coaching for managers is also possible.
In one-to-one coaching, you and I work on your issues and your further development in a private and discreet setting; everything that is said remains between us, of course. The individual sessions take place either in my rooms or online as a video call. The advantage of this is that the coaching process can be perfectly tailored to your needs. Many people find it easier to open up and let go in a private room.
In group coaching, several people with the same or similar issues come together. In the group process, we all develop strategies for action together, with me acting as a catalyst and moderator. Group coaching has the great advantage that we all benefit from the input of the participants. A ‘group entity’ is created, and the collective energy can lead to processes moving faster and more effectively. Group coaching can also take place online as business coaching. We meet in a secure video room, each of us in the comfort of our own home.
Executive coaching with Christoph Schlick – your steps to success
My coaching is not a rigid process, but flows and changes with the people I accompany on their journey. You are the expert for your own life and personality, I am your companion and translator on the path to self-reflection and leadership skills. Nevertheless, every coaching has a structure and certain milestones:
- In the first step, we get to know each other – me, you and you, me. This step is also intended to help you make a decision. Do we fit together? Do I speak your language and do you understand mine? We discuss your expectations and framework conditions, clarify your starting position and goal.
- If you decide to take me on as your management coach, we will develop a set of goals. Where do you want your journey to take you? Where do you want to be in a week, a month or a year from now? Good goals are realistic, measurable and tailored to the coachee.
- Where am I now? An analysis of the current situation includes your strengths and weaknesses, and the current level of vitality and happiness that you can feel within yourself.
- Once these points have been clarified, we develop a strategy for action together. Coaching is not a consumer product. We work closely together and develop concrete solutions from options and ideas.
- Now it's time to implement our joint plan for your personal development. It is your job to implement the strategies and solutions in your everyday life. Mine is to accompany you, give feedback and support when you get stuck.
- The next step takes place at regular intervals during the coaching. We evaluate and reflect on the process. This gives us both the opportunity to celebrate your successes, deal gently and lovingly with defeats and, if necessary, readjust the set screws.
- The end of the coaching process is clearly defined. We summarise the results and the goals achieved and find ways that work to stabilise future successes.
